Giving you space for health and healing

Centre Anahata is an all-in-one holistic healing and health centre that uses multiple therapies and treatments to aid our  guests in deep relaxation in order to de-stress, heal and feel healthy and well. We are cultivating a community that believes in using the body’s own natural power to heal through holistic treatments, massage, yoga and meditation alongside a healthy, compassionate lifestyle.

Centre Anahata was first established in 2014 by our founder Rebecca. The centre was born with the intention of developing into an inclusive community health hub, run by a collaboration of healers and visionaries where the healing of individuals, communities and our planet are one and the same. In 2021, Rebecca opened a new space for the centre in the heart of Medway with a yoga studio, massage therapy space and vegetarian/vegan cafe and organic refill shop.

Rebecca qualified in aromatherapy in 2000 and has continued to study, train and practice ever since.

Rebecca is passionate about the body’s innate self-healing capacity and all of her treatments and classes seek to support this potential. She uses her own healing journey to enhance the service she offers to others in their journey of self-discovery and healing.  She is dedicated to embodying all that she shares through her work with others. Rebecca is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and currently the only practitioner trained to offer Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in Kent.

An affinity with the human body and a natural tendency to gravitate towards health was what first lead Nina to yoga.

From her first class over 20 years ago, she began the journey of self-discovery into her own body and the changes she felt emotionally and physically after practicing yoga were what inspired her to train as a yoga teacher. 

Nina qualified as a yoga instructor at Frog Lotus Yoga in Spain in 2012 and has been teaching passionately ever since. 

She believes yoga can be anyones tool for a healthy body and mind. Her classes are fun and active, designed to move and breathe in unison with focus and awareness, leaving you feeling re-energised and grounded.

With a growing fascination for the human body she trained in Holistic massage, completing her Diploma at the Richdales Institute, London. Her love for both yoga and massage reflect in her teaching and her treatments.

    Alex trained in London as a ballet dancer and worked around the UK and world for 15 years.

    Finding yoga as a way to cope with the demands of her career both with injury and stress she gradually practised more and more until her training in 2015 at Yoga Arts in Bali with Louisa Sears. She has since trained in iRest yoga nidra with James Reeves and Yoga for Pregnancy and post-natal yoga teachings with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.

    Alex is dedicated to her teaching in helping everyone and anyone find a sense of grounding and nourishment, using a playful flow and connection of movement with the breath. Always with lots of energy and a sense of humour, encouraging self compassion and kindness as you move through your practice.

      He has been looking at methods to facilitate and encourage healing. In his previous job he was fortunate enough to travel extensively and experience the effects of sounds therapy in different part of the world, he then decided to train in gong playing with the very talented Mark Swan.

      He believes that regular sounds bath are as beneficial as regular massage , yoga class etc. It is done in a very passive way, so it is accessible to anyone. 

      Gong baths produce harmony , when we are able to mindfully absorb healing sound , a sense of balance can occur which energises our entire energetic system. Vibration rises and our lives begins to transform as we experience vibrant health on different levels.

      She is passionate about sharing yoga as a whole, not just the yoga-asana but the complete spiritual, scientific and philosophical power behind this beautiful art.  Claire loves connection and as well as the above is ever grateful for the people that she meets through yoga, and for the people that have taught her on her own journey.
      Claire is also an emergency nurse and has had the privilege of nursing all around the world connecting with many different people from a far range of backgrounds and settings so she has a firm grasp on the need for healing and restoration on a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level.  Yoga, through the philosophy of the 8 limbs of yoga, is a way of honouring all of those systems seeing the peace, love, joy and deep transformative healing power that yoga brings.

      Claire completed her teacher training in India under the guidance of Deepu Siva Mohanan and Swami Taponidhi Saraswati of the Bihar School of Yoga.  She has also gone on to further study Yoga Nidra under Barefoot Body and Breathwork under Anahata Yoga.

      We offer an inclusive, safe space for people to come together in a loving, non-judgemental environment. We provide a variety of mind-body centred classes, events, and holistic therapies, held by trained professionals, with the intention of encouraging and supporting healing, growth, and a sense of belonging. We offer concessions and support for anyone struggling financially, enabling access to our services for anyone who needs them.
